BGS Strike and Surveillance is seeking a Financial Control Analyst (Experienced or Senior) to support F/A-18 Support Equipment programs located in Hazelwood, Missouri (Saint Louis area).

This position will work directly with Program and Project Managers running the cost and schedule baselines, financial Estimates at Completion (EACs), monthly financial forecasting and variance analysis along with associated opportunities and risks as well as annual long range business plans.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and quarterly Financial Estimate at Complete (EACs) for developing, analyzing, and reviewing with BGS Controller, BGS-G CFO, and S & SPS CFO.
  • Develops performance reports. Initiates assignments and leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends
  • Leads development of cases using appropriate indices
  • Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions
  • Maintain cross functional integration with Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP & S), Control Account Managers (CAMs), Material Cost Analysts (MCA), IWT Financial Operations, IWT MCA, C & FSM, Prime Financial Controls, Program Management, Contracts, Accounts Receivables (A/R), Delivery Management, and Global Sales & Marketing.
  • Initiates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management. Initiates analysis of: resource forecasts and/or control account EACs; financial EACs.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experienced (Level 3): 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Senior (Level 4): 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Experience with Estimates of Completion (EACs), forecasting, resource planning, and cost management systems
  • Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams
  • Proficient applying financial systems, such as: EAS, EPAS, and Financial Project Cost Report (FPCR)
  • Proficient developing and reviewing Financial Estimates at Complete (EACs)

Typical Education/Experience: 
Experienced (Level 3)

Bachelors and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior (Level 4)

Bachelors degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
