Air Malta is looking for cabin crew to be based in Malta International Airport.
Required skills
- Languages: English, Maltese
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Will be assessed, in accordance with the applicable requirements of Annex IV (Part-MED) to Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011, as physically and mentally fit to perform their duties and discharge their responsibilities safely
- Will have to successfully complete all applicable training and checking required and are competent to perform the assigned duties in accordance with the procedures specified in the operations manual
- Maintain a height to weight ratio as defined by the company
- Remain medically fit to discharge the specified cabin-crew duties
Educational Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 5 ‘O’ levels with grades A, B, C and/or 1–5
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- An adequate level of IT literacy which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to access and use computer applications made available by the company for use by the candidate in the course of performing his/her normal duties
Cabin crew shall also possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in speaking and writing and the ability to read announcements in English and Maltese
- The company targets individuals with capabilities in all European languages used by our customers
- Proficiency in a 3rd language is desirable but not essential
- Where this language need cannot be sourced within Malta any crew member from regional markets
- (and based in Malta) will be required to be proficient in Maltese
- Strong communication skills combined with an outgoing personality
- Demonstrate the ability to solve customers’ problems
- Ability to effectively sell a range of catering and travel related products
Desired skills
- Have the ability to remain calm and reassuring in stressful situations and possess the aptitude to manage conflict effectively
- Have the ability to present oneself in an outgoing and positive manner when engaging with customer’s needs and requirements
- Punctuality is essential
Other information
The Training Programme:
- Training will include theoretical and practical sessions for an EASA attestation and an Operator Conversion Course
- A payment of €1,300 will give the chosen applicants the opportunity to obtain an EASA attestation
- EASA attestation is a professional competency certificate, which permits you to discharge the duties of
- Cabin Crew on European Community registered aircraft and is valid for all European Airlines and operators
- Following the Attestation, Air Malta will provide the Operator Conversion Course
- All related training material will be provided by Air Malta
- Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work with Air Malta, on a full-time basis, on a definite contract – October 2024
