The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist for Aviation Repair Parts (RPS) to support the Boeing CH-47 Chinook Program, a core component of the Australian Armys Utility Helicopter capability. The role is ideally suited to a candidate from the Townsville North Queensland area. However consideration will be given to outstanding candidates from other Australian locations.

Responsibilities

The RPS Storeman will be required to provide representation and logistics support to CH-47 (CISS) and all stakeholders in the operation/maintenance of the supply chain network. Core activities include; initiating corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services and utilizing multi-disciplined logistics expertise and knowledge. And to assist the customer in achieving and sustaining high levels of operational readiness.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts and methodologies.
  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen to meet Defence security requirement
  • Competent in the use of MS Office computer software.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills that facilitate open and effective communications between key stake holders.

Highly desirable

  • NV1 Security clearance
  • Experience working within a Aviation environment

Would be advantageous

  • Demonstrated experience with a minimum two years as an ADF/Aviation Stores team member.
  • Demonstrated ability using Materiel Codification (MC) Catalogue
  • Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM2)
  • Australian Defence Aviation Authorised Spares System (ADAASS)
  • Technical knowledge pertaining to the CH-47F Chinook aircraft
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret the Electronic Supply Chain Manual (ESCM)
